About the Foundation: Our Philosophy and History

B.E.L.I.E.F. Foundation was established in 1996 with the purpose of engaging youth and young adults in making a difference within their community. In 1998 the scholarship program was launched in select low-income areas of Dallas. The 2005-2006 academic years launched the successful expansion of the scholarship program into the Irving Independent School District. Since inception, B.E.L.I.E.F. has granted 200+ renewable scholarships totaling more than $2,000,000 to low-income seniors and college students residing within 22 zip codes.

The philosophy of the Scholarship Program is to give financial assistance to deserving college, vocational or technical school students as well as provide encouragement and support to the students and their families. The Program, administered by College First Foundation, provides each recipient with a $5,000 scholarship, which is renewable for up to 3 years if awarded for freshman year and the recipient maintains eligibility standards.

With the scholarship program successfully developed, B.E.L.I.E.F. is beginning work on collaborating with like-minded organizations to leverage potential community-based endeavors for young adults.
